1 Applicable Legal Regulation

These General Conditions are subject to the provisions of the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, the Law 7/1998, of April 13, on General Conditions of Contracting, and Decree 13/2011, of February 25, establishing the necessary general provisions to facilitate freedom of establishment and the provision of tourist services, the regulation of the responsible declaration, and the simplification of administrative procedures in tourist matters.

These General Conditions will be incorporated, signed by the contracting parties, into all contracts for package holidays whose purpose is the programs/offers contained in the program/brochure and bind the parties, with the particular conditions agreed upon in the contract or contained in the travel documentation provided simultaneously upon contract subscription.

2 Registration

In case you request registration for a trip, you will need to pay 40% of the cost of the trip. If the operator requests full payment in advance, www.taotrips.com will request these amounts from the customer. Once the travel contract is formalized, the remaining amounts will be requested, including airport taxes if applicable, and all types of extras contracted on the trip to Iceland.

Both the information displayed on the website and that which may appear in brochures or other advertising materials should be considered provisional.

3 Price

The price of the trip includes everything specified in the “includes” section of the travel technical sheet and the applicable VAT. In no case, unless expressly stated, will airport taxes, vaccinations, or any other item not expressly specified in the “Includes” section of the technical sheet be included.

4 Modifications by the Organizer

If, before the departure of the trip, the organizer is compelled to significantly alter any of the essential elements of the trip, they must notify the customer in such a way that the customer has the option to cancel the contracted trip or accept the new proposed conditions. If during the trip, the agency cannot provide any of the contracted services, the amount for that activity will be refunded, or an activity with similar characteristics will be sought. If weather conditions or any force majeure prevents the completion of any activity, the company will not be required to make any refund.

In the event that the traveler voluntarily chooses not to participate in any activity, the company will not be required to refund any amount in any case.

The routes described in the programs may be carried out in the directions set out in the technical sheets or in the reverse direction without the need for prior communication to the customer.

5 Cancellations by the Participant and/or Trip Cancellation:

If for any reason you need to cancel the reservation, you must do so by email to taotrips@gmail.com

Whenever you request cancellation at least 30 days in advance of the event date, we will refund 100% of the deposit in a voucher that you can use for any of our retreats.

If you cancel the reservation within 30 days before the retreat or event, the reservation deposit will not be refunded.

In the event that the reservation is canceled after the full amount has been paid, a refund of the amount corresponding to the second payment will be made only if it is requested with 15 days’ notice. If requested later, no amount will be refunded.

COVID-19: If any health restriction leads to the cancellation of the retreat, a voucher for the amount paid will be issued, valid for any taotrips retreat.

When a refund is due, it will be made by bank transfer to the original account within a maximum of 30 days from the cancellation request. However, depending on the circumstances, we will try to process the refund in a shorter time frame.

  • In the event that the customer does not show up for the trip at the agreed-upon meeting point, time, or with the necessary documentation, the entire contracted amount will be forfeited.
  • These percentages indicate the amounts that may be charged to the customer in case of cancellation and/or trip cancellation, but it should be noted that the expenses to suppliers mentioned above, which will in no case be reimbursed by the agency, will not be reimbursed.

The consumer of the package trip may transfer their reservation to a third party, requesting it in writing at least 15 days before the start date of the trip, unless the parties agree to a shorter deadline in the contract. The transferee must meet the same requirements as the transferor, generally required for the package trip, and both will be jointly responsible for payment to the Travel Agency, the price of the trip, and any justified additional expenses for the transfer.

In cases where the Organizer conditions it and specifies it expressly, the viability of the package travel offer will depend on having a minimum number of participants, and if this number is not reached, the trip will be canceled, and the user will only have the right to a full refund of the price or amounts paid, without being able to claim any amount as compensation, provided that the Agency has notified this in writing at least 10 days before the scheduled start date of the trip.

In those cases of transferring a seat where the airline ticket has been issued, notified to the customer, the agency will not be obliged to cover the costs of changing the ticket holder or purchasing new air services. The parties jointly involved in the transfer will be responsible for issuing the new air tickets.

6 Cancellations by the Agency: Force Majeure

The agency may cancel the departure of a trip due to force majeure causes, which would be all those situations beyond the control of the Organizer that could make it impossible to carry out the route despite having acted with due diligence. In both cases, the consumer will be entitled to a refund of the amounts paid except for management expenses and expenses that have been communicated as non-refundable.

7 Passports, Visas, and Documentation

All users, without exception (including children), must have their personal and family documentation in order, whether it is a passport or ID card, in accordance with the laws of the country or countries they are visiting. When trips require it, obtaining visas, passports, vaccination certificates, etc., will be the responsibility of the travelers. If the granting of visas is rejected by any Authority for particular reasons of the user, or if entry into the country is denied for failing to meet the required requirements or for deficiencies in the required documentation, the Organizing Agency declines all responsibility for events of this nature, and any expenses incurred will be borne by the consumer, and the conditions and rules established for cases of voluntary withdrawal from services will apply in these circumstances. Likewise, all users, especially those with nationalities other than Spanish, should ensure, before starting the trip, that they have met all applicable visa requirements to enter all countries to be visited without problems. Minors under 18 years of age must carry a written permit signed by their parents or guardians, in anticipation of it being requested by any authority.
